“Joy in my heart”

By gigihawaii

Me:  “I went to the dentist today.  I have one cavity and two that need refilling.  That’s going to set us back big bucks.”

David:  “That’s all right.  I have joy in my heart.”

Me:  “How do you get joy in your heart?”

David:  “By being married to Glenda.  Haha!”

Me:  “That’s good.”

David:  “I figured it out.  You just have to accept your lot in life.”

    Aloha Gigi –

I have two turkey breasts in the oven. Only 4 1/2 pounds each. One for home to munch on, and one to take to work. We nurses usually bring feast stuff if we work on a holiday, as I’ll do Thursday.

Sorry about the cavity…..but I haven’t heard of “refilling” old ones, or only if the filling fell out. I’ve heard of caps and crowns coming off, but not refilling a cavity. What happens if it’s not “refilled”?

Hope you and your sweetie have a nice day or two off!

    Cheers, DrumMajor

My two front teeth have fillings that have gotten very thin from wear. The dentist will add filling to them.

David has to work the day after T-day, unfortunately!

Enjoy the turkey breasts. I prefer dark meat, though.

It is good the cavity is in your tooth and not your heart. You are lucky to have David — and he is lucky to have you. It is nice when life works things that way.

Refillings …..i can’t stop myself from adding something here,Dentist in me is jumping out to do so….refilling is a good idea because any restoration(filling)develops a micro leakage after a certain period depending on the restorative material used….specially the composites which are used for the front teeth…any leakage can further cause cavities underneath the old fillings…so please go ahead.

Enjoy the joy in your heart..both of you !!Happy Thanks giving .

Oh isn’t he wonderful?! You made me sigh over this one. You’re so lucky–even with a cavity and two re-fillings you are SO lucky.

(I hope the next trip to the dentist isn’t too bad!)

    Happy Thanksgiving!
