Recently, I had a dream. This is how it went:
I had eaten four Oreo cookies after lunch, splitting them apart like a kid just so I would have the sense of eating eight cookies instead of four.
David: “How many cookies did you eat?”
Me: “Four.”
David: “Well, don’t eat more than that. Before you know it, your weight will shoot up and you’ll die of a heart attack.”
Me: “No worry, beef curry. My lab scores were all terrific. Cholesterol was 186 and glucose was 94 – all below threshold.”
David: “Your scores could be better. Mine were much lower than yours. Oh, (he starts to weep) if you die, I don’t know what will happen to me. I need you, Glenda. I can’t bear the thought of going through life without you.” (He’s really sobbing, now.)
Me: “Sheesh! I didn’t know you loved me so much. (He’s got me crying, too.) Here, have a cookie. You’ll feel better…”
And, then, I woke up.

That’s a very sweet dream……sometimes when we tend to overeat our mind tries to signal us that we need to check this out (my idea…can easily be ignored)…..i wish you and David many more happy, healthy years ahead.

This is actually a sweet dream that even your subconsious is aware of the deep affection between you. On the other hand that inner you also knows you’ve got to watch what you eat. So what did you eat before you went to bed? Hmm….

Before bed? I didn’t eat Oreo cookies, that’s for sure!

Oh good, Gigi, feed him an Oreo cookie, too! LOL! “What, your stats are better than mine? Here, let me fix that …”
Seriously, it was a wonderful dream. Sometimes we need to be reminded how much we are valued. Take care of yourself for David, and for your children and your grandchildren. They will love you all the more for it!

Quilly, that was a good retort. Why didn’t I think of it?

What a sweet dream! I agree though that it may be signalling you not to eat too much.
