Brit Gal Sarah’s Contest – 2009

Photos by Ted Trimmer:

Brit Gal Sarah (http://www.britgalusa.com/) started a contest on her blog last year.  Basically, the person who guessed the correct number of mugs of tea she drank during 2009 would win a prize.  I guessed 365 mugs, while she actually drank 427.  And I won!  Yippee!!!

The closest runners-up were Jan with 498 and Mare with 502.  Only 9 separated me from the next closest guess!

The prize – a Brit influenced tea goodies box – will be on its way in a couple of weeks.  Sarah has part of the prize, but wants to include some other things as well.  So, I’ll have to be patient.  When I finally receive the prize, I’ll photograph it.

That was some contest, and I never thought I’d actually win.  Because it was such a surprise, I am still laughing about it!

MAHALO, SARAH!!!

P.S.  Since she is running the same contest again this year, my official guess is that Sarah will drink 420 mugs of tea in 2010.

Now that sounds like it would be a good estimate given what you know now.

The first photo is absolutely stunning and could take part in Weekend Reflection. Thanks for your visit and comment.
You thought that the Aborigenes looked like the Hawaiians. Actually the Maoris of New Zealand, are closely connected to those of Hawaii. They are all Polynesians, but the Aborigines aren’t. They have lived in Australia for more than 40,000 years, while the Maoris came to NZ in about 900 AD, that’s 1100 years ago. Not very long actually.

Wow! Congrats on the tea win. I am major impressed that anybody would even remember to record how much tea s/he drank in a year!
