MidWeek Poll

I happened to open this week’s MidWeek and, lo, saw a photo of Star-Bulletin reporter Burl Burlingame’s daughter, Kate Burlingame.  You might remember that Burl attended my bloggers party back in October and he occasionally leaves comments on my blog.

Anyway, Kate was one of five people who were asked, “Who would you most like to meet?”  She replied:  “Robert Montgomery.  He would be a good dinner date and I love his movies.”

Huh?  Who’s Robert Montgomery?  I don’t recall ever seeing his movies.

The other interviewees had interesting responses, also.

Keoni Bumgarner:  “Hayao Miyazaki.  He’s an animator in Japan and he’s awesome.

Shanae Kinimaka:  “My great grandma.  She was a really strong person and had a great influence on who my grandmother is today.”

Skylar York:  “Michael Jordan.  I like basketball and he’s my favorite athlete.”

Lydia Delacerna:  “Audrey Hepburn.  I watch her shows everyday on TCM.”

Well, I wasn’t polled, but my answer would have been:  “Jesus Christ.  I admire him, because he was so charismatic he changed the world!”

David:  “Obama.  Someone unique and different.”

So, who would YOU most like to meet?

Gigi, like you, I would like to meet Jesus.

  3. Elise Says:

    David Attenborough

  4. Linda Says:

President Obama, to see if he’s as real as I think he is.

  5. Musings Says:

Abraham Lincoln. I don’t know why he would be the one that would pop into my head. I’ve always wondered what the real Lincoln was like. He had to handle so many trials in his life. I read the book, The Wit and Wisdom of Abraham Lincoln and I’ve always marveled at his brilliance and kindness.

  6. Susan at Stony River Says:

Jane Austen, for being brilliant and funny. And, I want to know how Sanditon was supposed to end LOL.

  7. Burl Burlingame Says:

Like you, Kate is becoming a foodie. Dunno if you can see FaceBook:

Robert Montgomery was an actor and director of note. But you probably better remember his daughter Elizabeth, of “Bewitched.”

Sorry, I don’t have a facebook account. I googled Robert Montgomery soon after seeing Kate’s response in Midweek. Too bad father, son, and daughter Elizabeth all died of cancer.
