Aloha Sunday

Taj Mahal 003-A

Agra, India.  This beautiful structure is located in the same complex as the Taj Mahal.  Does anyone know what it is for?  Do tell if you do!  Thanks.

Though the weather yesterday wasn’t too bad, it’s been awfully cold, windy and drizzly lately.  I have shut down the air conditioning and the lawn sprinklers.  Our electric and water bills should be drastically reduced as a result.

Anyway, because of this unpredictable and dreary weather, we have decided not to snorkel and swim today.  I just hope Christmas is sunny and clear.  Please.

Lisa is home for the holidays.  David cleaned her room and made her bed for her.  What a good dad he is!  I gave her the bag of tea that Ruprekha grew in her garden in Assam, India, and Lisa said she will brew some tea later.  Thanks, Ruprekha!

The bumper to bumper traffic on the freeways has been horrendous.  I wonder where all these motorists are going.  Anyway, we expect President Obama’s motorcade to interrupt traffic occasionally while he and his family vacation in Hawaii during the Christmas holiday.

Aloha, Mr. President!  Welcome home!

I heard it’s also cold in Florida. Welcome home to Lisa!

I am sure Lisa liked the tea that Rupa gifted. About that structure Arti would be the right person to tell us. Hope you are having a fab Sunday.

  3. Grannymar Says:

Maybe all the heavy traffic was due to President Obama arriving yesterday. Enjoy Lisa’s visit.

  4. DrumMajor Says:

Some of your traffic is probably due to Sen. Daniel Inouye’s funeral services. Some may be due to Obama attending the service at Punchbowl. Sure wish Obama could take a longer vacation; he’s been working too hard lately for our country. Glad Lisa’s back for awhile. DrumMajor

That’s a beautiful picture. I wonder if your weather is as dreary as ours has been for what seems to be ages now! 🙂

Ok, the building is home for a harem, or a bathhouse. What’s the prize for guessing correctly?
If the Hawaii Bowl is on Christmas Eve, you’ve probably got traffic for that, too. I’d take a helicopter if you need to go anywhere in your own hometown.

  7. Suzanne Says:

That was sweet of David to clean her room. The northern side of Maui has experienced the weather you described. It made for some interesting kiting this week.

  8. Henry Hank Chapin Says:

No snow here in Bellingham, Washington. Plenty cold though.

  9. Musings Says:

I’ve noticed that the traffic is horrendous too. Maybe it’s because the kids are off school. Lucky you having Lisa back home.

I think the structure is one of those palaces built by a Mogul prince. Definitely looks like their type of architecture.

Happiness is seeing your kids. Do tell how Lisa is doing in her studies. We need my PT folks. Dianne

I wondered if President Obama was going to be able to make it home for the holidays. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday and a Very Happy New year!

  12. Linda Reeder Says:

So just how cold is cold in Hawaii?

  13. denise Says:

I just read that the President attended Sen. Daniel Inouye’s funeral. My deepest sympathy to his family.
