Good news

Scenic Hawaii 027-A

Rabbit Island, Oahu, Hawaii.

David had some good news.  He mentioned to his boss that it was his birthday.

M said, “Take your wife out to dinner.  I’ll treat.”  Then he added, “The reason is that you are not causing me any stress.”

Wow!  Unbelievable!  David has reserved a table for us at Chef Chai’s new restaurant for Sunday evening. There will be valet parking in front of the restaurant, so we shouldn’t get too wet if it does rain.  There might even be a canopy there, who knows.

Things are definitely looking up.  Hope there is a pay raise around the corner!

I think the secret to getting along with M is to not argue with him.  In fact, M told David that the reason why he demoted him was that David argued too much.  I have to admit that this is one of my husband’s irritating habits.  He just enjoys arguing to prove a point, no matter how insignificant the point is.  He does that to me all the time.

Keep it positive and upbeat, that’s our new motto.

That is certainly hopeful news. His job certainly has nice perks. As we get older we tend to argue less, so if that is what his boss likes there may be only smoother seas ahead.

I used to like to argue too, but gave it up after I had a stroke. Too stressful and accomplishes nothing. Dianne

David’s boss sounds so mean at times and then he does this. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed about the pay raise.

Lovely gift, and the no stress bit is wonderful. What a hard boss he is.

    Great photos too.

I guess the key words here are “causing stress”. Since David has backed off on the arguing, things are going better. I guess the boss doesn’t like to be second guessed.
Have fun with your dinner out!

Gee, a good boss would have explained the demotion. He still likes people who just do what they’re told, and if David’s not arguing with him now, why not the reinstatement of losts wages, which is more than the dinner. But, good to enjoy dinner while the boss is acting a little like a human. DrumMajor
