On Sunday, we congregated at Aunty Marilyn and Uncle Harold’s home to celebrate their son Mitchell’s marriage to Aya. The couple had recently married on the mainland and moved from California to Michigan, where they have permanent jobs.
Here they are: Mitchell and Aya.
Aya’s brother and parents reside in Osaka, Japan. They came to Hawaii to celebrate Aya’s marriage.
Mitchell and his older twin sisters, Cissy and Mimi.
Mitchell and his nephews, Blake, Ethan, and Donovan.
Me and David.
Portrait of two families.
Mitchell’s Hawaiian musician-friends. That’s Mitchell playing the ukulele (fourth person from left).
Aya dances the hula. Lovely!
Aya dances the hula better than I do. Beautifully done, Aya!
We all had such a wonderful time. And the food was delicious, too.
Good luck and best wishes to the newlyweds!

It is wonderful to see interracial marriages especially when the bride and groom come from different countries to marry.
