In love with beauty

scenic Hawaii 011-A

Hawaii.

Yesterday, Lisa told us that nothing in her apartment or car had melted during the heat wave on the mainland.  She had been concerned about her stethoscope.  No need to worry, after all.

David says there are quite a few job openings in accounting.  He applied to three last week and three this week.  He is also considering enrolling in classes at H&R Block so that he can be a tax preparer next year.

Obviously, competition for all jobs is keen.  We are optimistic that something good will happen eventually.

Today, my friend Flo will be escorting me to the art show featuring hers and other artists’ original oil paintings at Honolulu Hale.  It will be a nice outing for me.  I’ll take some pictures and will post them tomorrow.

I love to look at beautiful things, and if they are created by human hands, all the better.

Good luck with the job hunt. Accounting is a good field to be in I believe. A friend of mine is in college now, tired of working in the service industry, to get an accounting degree. The art show sounds wonderful.

Some viruses were made by human hands and attacked my computer. I am not amused……..
Job hunt is impossible here from a certain age, approx. 35+
Above that you are anabiotic, so I wish David best of luck.
    It sounds so sanguine…

I remember fondly going to art shows in Portland and our own Academy of Arts, the annual Hawaii artists show in particular. Once son had his high school drawing at the Honolulu Hale on exhibit and we didnt even know until my cousin happen to see it. I might venture down there when I’m in town to see this art show, sounds interesting.

I feel that things made by hand retain some essence of their creator. Good luck to David.

We watched the ‘Marigold Hotel’ movie last night. Is this what inspired you to travel to India? Great film and I loved the actors.

Happy to hear that things are very optimistic on David’s job hunt. Wishing him the very best and I look forward to hearing all about your art show.
