Enjoy life with us

Hawaii 013-A

Today, we are looking forward to the football game between our alma mater, the University of Hawaii, and the University of Southern California.  Kickoff is at 5:00 pm at Aloha Stadium.  We will watch the game on our big screen TV at home.

You can say all you want about cholesterol, but what’s a football game without pizza?  In our case, we are going to munch on pan pizza supreme from Pizza Hut.  The only problem is that traffic to the stadium (which is just down the street from our house) is expected to be really horrendous.  Since we don’t want our pizza to get cold during this traffic snarl, David will take some towels to wrap the box in.  For future games, he ordered a pizza delivery bag from Amazon. It cost only $29, with no tax and no shipping fees.  We expect it to arrive in time for the next game.

Earlier in the day, someone will be coming here to remove some carpeting and replace it with a remnant.  This is necessary because Julia dripped yogurt in front of the kitchen and bathroom.  David managed to make the stain worse by smearing it.  I’m sure the patchwork will be successful, though expensive.

Enjoy life with us!

You don’t get your pizza delivered? Have fun watching the game! And naughty Julia! I hate when spills happen.

    I hope Hawaii kicks USC’s butt 🙂

Since we bought a breadmaker, husband tried making pizza last weekend and it turned out excellent. He’s got that machine handled where he doesn’t have to measure precisely or follow recipes.

Sounds like a fun day and bet David is glad he has more time for the fun things in life.

Enjoy your game Gigi, and your new carpet 🙂

Eat now, you might pay later, however, cholesterol issues seem to be related to heredity more than anything else. Too bad about the carpet. I pulled ours out years ago, but am thinking of bringing it back again to cover our ghastly floors. Dianne

If you want to protect your carpet in the area where the kids spill there is carpet protective film that you can put on your carpets. Some products can be left on the carpet for a month or two and just wipe the spills up off the film. But you could just put it down for the party when they come over and pull off the film when they leave.

I used to do that when we lived in a small condo. But now we have a large house and there’s no telling where they will spill their drinks and food.

What if you confine where they eat, maybe in the dining room or at a kiddie size table you set up for them in a certain area. The good thing is they could do a little messy crafts there too. That way you wont have to buy multiple rolls of that stick-em film. As for drinks… drink at the table or they get to drink water out of a waterbottle. House rules Gigi, The house rules at grandmas do not have to be the same as at home where they live, nor the same at aunties house. This is the same as shoes in the house or not…. different homes different rules…. It is your house, you set the rules.

That is too funny…hot pizza where I live in VT is an eat in experience only. I never thought about towels.

Tell David to try using shaving cream to scrub out carpet stains.

That sounds like a good game. Eating pizza while watching the game sounds even better. Have a great time!

Sorry to hear about your carpet. I hope the patching turned out OK.
I am in my recliner sort of watching the Seattle Seahawks and the Oakland Raiders. But it’s still preseason, and I’m also using the time to catch up on blogging, with my laptop on my lap.
