“Tomorrow. The sun will come up tomorrow.”

Hawaii 019-A

We must be masochists to keep watching Hawaii football games.  Another loss, 33-14, this time to Oregon State.  We blame the two quarterbacks and the receivers.  This is an expensive way to entertain ourselves.  We paid $450 for pay per view and $10.99 for yesterday’s game.

Why do we keep shelling out the money?  It’s because our family members are all alumni of the University of Hawaii.  We are proud of our school and will always find ways to support it.

After yesterday’s game, David said, “Tomorrow.  The sun will come up tomorrow.”  Remember that song from the musical, “Annie”?  Maybe, the next game will be better.  Maybe, Hawaii will win!

As for me, I skipped dinner last night and just drank iced water.  I am feeling less bloated.

Tonight, our friends, Flo and Raymond, will be treating us to dinner at Assaggio’s.  I happen to love Italian food, so I am looking forward to having a nice time.  No need to cook or clean up.  We’ll just sit back and enjoy the ambiance, the delicious cuisine, and the friendly company.

Go easy on the pasta and creamy sauces so as not to aggreviate your tummy. Enjoy the evening with friends.

It looks like it was a good thing on our budget that Ron and I did not care for sports.

Dining out is the absolute best way to share time with friends. I don’t miss the days of spending visits cleaning up the kitchen.

Hubby and I stopped eating out so often and now only go a handful of times per year. It’s certainly made a difference on our wallets, not to mention our waistlines! But I do miss the ambience with friends. Enjoy! 🙂

You are good supporters to pay that much to see the games.
Enjoy your dinner with your friends.

I suppose it would be cheaper to watch at home than go to the game? Enjoy your dinner Gigi!

Sounds like Casey at the Bat in Mudville. I don’t watch sports, too upsetting. Dianne

Sometimes being supportive is the most important reason. I take my hat off to you for that. Enjoy your night out with good friends.

Mike and I were not much into sports, but we are the odd balls in our families that way. I hope you enjoy the Italian restaurant more than the RR recipe for spaghetti sauce.
