My mother’s 98th birthday

Seven of us gathered together to celebrate my mother’s 98th birthday.  She is thirty years older than I am and is in relatively good health. She still lives in her own house in Manoa, and her daughter Nedra is her primary caregiver.

Here we are:

Dinner was a wonderful buffet at Aunty Bobbie’s elegant retirement facility.

What a happy celebration. Happy birthday to your mom. You all look wonderful. You and your sisters must have some been swimming in the same gene pool as your mom and Aunty Bobbie.

    Congratulations to your beautiful mother!

It’s good to be able to clelebrate together – as the others have said, good genes must run in your family. Was your Mother able to acknowledge her celebration or was it just another day out for her?

You do look good in a hat Gigi – I’ve seen you in others know they have complemented your dresses but can’t remember the colours. The blue on your Mother’s is a good match to her jacket and seems to suit her colouring,
    Take care

Mom has moderate dementia, so she probably does not know how old she is. As for the colors of my hats — black, black and white, white, beige, blue, and tan.
