Fun with Rylan

My grandson Rylan, age 4, came over, because he had a fever and cough the day before. Look how tall he is, about half my height:

Hmmm. He seemed fine to me. Was he malingering from preschool, because he wanted to spend time with his beloved iPad?

He chose a video to watch. (That’s his mother Maria’s leg):

The show was fascinating:

I had to remind him to eat his breakfast (yogurt and a croissant):

Rylan spent the rest of the day taking it easy and enjoying life at grandma’s.

He showed me the old digital camera I had given him months ago.  He knows how to turn the camera on, take photos, view the shots, and when to change the battery.  I’m amazed at what this 4 year old boy can do.

I wonder if Rylan will show up today. I hope he is cleared to take his preschool’s field trip to the zoo, something he doesn’t want to miss.

Looks like Ryan was very engrossed in the movie. I too watch movies and shows on the iPad when using the cardio equipment at the Y. A zoo trip is not to be missed.

Some of my children’s best memories were their “sick days” spent at Grandma’s. It looks like Rylans will be the same. In that picture with you he looks awfully happy.

The picture of the two of you together is wonderful. You look great. it is nice to have a grandma nearby for those sick days. My daughter has to take time off from work. It is amazing that kids today seem to be born with technological ability built right in somehow.

That is a great photo of you two. He is so cute and you are right, getting so tall.

I really like that muumuu, Gigi. It’s very pretty, and you’re right, Rylan is growing up very fast. He’s a sweet child, I’m glad you get to enjoy him. 🙂

I hope the Honolulu zoo has improved. I was amused when I visited to find examples of my back yard birds in cages. I suppose exotic is in the eye of the beholder.
BTW I like the muumuu you are wearing.

Off to the hospital to have blood drawn. Doc thinks I am anemic. Always something!

Hmmm, he’s at the zoo today, isn’t he. He’s as smart as he is tall, and that’s a bunch. Darling young man.

He is a handsome little boy, so cute! I hope he feels better enough to go to the zoo. I would hate to miss that too.

Youngsters these days seem to grow very fast.

An unexpected day with a grandchild is a treat.
My grand kids always want to have too much screen time now when they are here on Friday afternoons. It is becoming an issue.

He is such a charming little guy. It is amazing how these little ones take to using technology as easily as I used a crayon or pencil at the same age.
