Yesterday, David drove to the Hawaii Symphony Box Office in Kaimuki to exchange our December 28 concert tickets for the December 30 concert. Same concert, different dates. We had to exchange them, because Aunty Bobbie’s party is scheduled for December 28.
As our subscription for the 12 concert season costs $800 for the two of us, we have been discussing whether or not to continue with this next season. It’s an expensive luxury for retirees like us. In all likelihood, we will keep this passion for classical music alive for a while longer.

Well, there is art. That, too, makes us happy. We recently purchased an oil painting by Jenny Lee, and it now hangs in our dining area next to the kitchen. This is the one we bought:
Lovely, isn’t it? It’s a deep painting that draws us in, complementing the modern Balinese painting on the left wall. I can’t stop looking at it.
Music and art. We are truly blessed.
What’s your passion?
