David has finally returned from his three night trip to Las Vegas. He and seven other relatives from Hawaii watched our daughter, Lisa, graduate with a doctorate of physical therapy from Touro University. I could not attend due to poor health.

When he saw Lisa walk across the stage, David said tears streamed down his cheeks. He was so overcome with joy.
You must understand why. This daughter graduated from high school in 2000. She then got a diploma in cosmetology and was a hairstylist from 2002 to 2012. During that period, she was a part time student, receiving an Associate’s degree from a community college and a B.S. degree in kinesiology from the University of Hawaii. Then, she attended graduate school in Nevada from 2012 to 2015. Last Sunday, she graduated with a doctorate.
It is simply amazing that this woman went from being a hairstylist to being a physical therapist. It’s a testament to her incredible grit and determination. Lisa said that the only way she could make more money was by choosing a career that paid better.
Now, she intends to take her national board exam in July. When she passes, she will focus on finding a job, preferably in Nevada, where the pay scale is better than that in Hawaii.
Good luck, Lisa!

What a lovely time for everyone! Wish I could have been there, but if my colitis doesn’t improve, my traveling days are over. Sad, but true.
I love you, Lisa! Congratulations!
