Maria, Julia, and my mother (Mother’s Day, May 2009).

Two restaurants in Hawaii have bent backward to please us.

At one restaurant, I ordered a sausage pasta dish which was so salty, I only ate the sausage. When the waitress asked if I wanted the pasta boxed to take home, I told her it was too salty and I didn’t want it. Well, guess what, she apologized and said the dessert would be free.

Recently, we dined at another restaurant and waited 25 minutes for the dessert to arrive. The chef finally brought it to our table. He apologized for the wait and said the dessert was free.

So, we were mollified. We will definitely revisit these two restaurants. Hopefully, we won’t have the same problems, again.

That’s very good of the restaurant staff to recognize it’s important to keep your customers mollified. 🙂

Amazing. I don’t think that would happen here in Fresno. Any time something similar has happened, nothing was said in way of apology or desire to fix it. I truly believe that Fresno is a very sad place in which to do business. Grace and manners are not in abundance.

Amazing the sausage was okay and the pasta too salty. Nice that they tried to mollify you.

A sweet photo of your family. How nice that the restaurants treated you well after you mentioned their food was not up to par. That is good business on their part too and now you will have no hesitation going back.

The restaurant should have replaced your meal completely and a free dessert tooooo! I would have said something after the first bite and made it clear the food was toooo salty..As for dessert who really cares if one cannot eat the entrée I say..i used to work in the restaurant business in California the food would have been removed a new entrée offered and your dessert whatever it was would have been free and the meal too! Guess in Hawaii they don’t care at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gigi, what’s the name of those restaurants? They both deserve our business too. Good make up to try to keep the customers happy.
