Proud of my family

David and I were supposed to attend an art reception yesterday, but we are sick with a bad cough.  We caught it from one of our guests at our Thanksgiving party last week.  If it doesn’t clear up, we will see the doctor.

Our tenant returned from a two week trip to the mainland and informed us that his last day here will be December 11.  We are prorating his rent at $33 per day.  After he leaves, we plan to renovate the room.

My sister in law enjoyed her 15 day trip to Italy in November.  Her favorite city was Florence.  She is considering a river boat cruise on the Danube next year.  It will feature villages, selling Christmas gifts and ornaments.  More power to her.

I am so proud of my family.  All of my siblings and I are college graduates and home owners.  How many parents can say that about their children?

Get well soon Gigi and David! At least it is not Christmas yet!

Hope you both feel better quickly and can avoid a trip to the doctor, who would probably tell you to drink fluids and get plenty of rest.

Olga’s right. Drink warm fluids, get rest, stay away from crowds. That’s about it for a virus like that. A spoonful of honey may help, too. That’s what we give the grandkids when they have a cough. Does wonders.

LOL We all sound like good mothers – rest and plenty of fluids. Honey and fresh lemon in hot water is good to sip slowly – has a soothing and calming effect. And of course your favourite cough mixture and Mr Vick’s chest rub to follow up with 🙂

Our only has 2 degrees and many minors, she works in Film in NYC and travels the world on their dime so to speak..Even though she doesn’t have a home to own she lives well…She is not married and takes good care of herself..We get to go with her on some journies and see her often, the married with kids and a home lifestyle is not for her, we have notices many of her fellow classmates at the university she adored are now just getting married they are 38 and 39 years old with much education and travel the world..Not all the young people in this world are uneducated and many do own homes they just don’t marry and if they have kids they adopt..Many don’t live like we do baby boomers which is fine with me..aloha in paradise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My (late) parents, Terry’s (late) parents, Terry and I and our kids, Terry’s brother and wife and kids and my sister all have college degrees, some MAs and PhDs too. And we all own homes. My sister’s husband is the only one without at least a four year degree, and he’s a highly skilled technician.
I hope that cold gets better. The one I got a while ago took weeks to go away completely.
