Too many refrigerators in our house?

As you know, our tenant moved out and we now have this vacant guest room. It contains bedroom furniture, a TV and DVD player, as well as a microwave and refrigerator:

Refrigerators 005-A

In addition to the black refrigerator, we have two other refrigerators.

One is in the kitchen (fresh produce, eggs, cheese, frozen veggies, ice cream, ice cubes, and condiments):

Refrigerators 004-A

And the other is in the living room (beverages, carbohydrates, and frozen meat):

Refrigerators 003-A

Because the other two refrigerators are used daily, we don’t want to get rid of them. But, the black one in the guest room?  Do we really need it, since we don’t intend to make the room a rental unit again?

I guess we will keep it for now. When Lisa vacations in Hawaii, she can store her wine or beer in it, as well as fresh fruits and other groceries.  That guest room will have everything she could possibly want.  Reach for a beer in the black refrigerator, sit on the chair, and watch TV.  Then, take a few steps and fall into her bed after brushing her teeth in her own private bathroom.

But, I have to admit that THREE refrigerators are a lot of refrigerators for our house.

In our house they would all be filled, simply because they could be.

I don’t think it hurts anything to have it there and, as you said, your guests can use it if they wish. I’d turn it off in the meantime, though. 🙂

We only have the one refrigerator. Once we had two, that one being in the garage. When it broke down we never bothered to replace it.

We have two fridges, a box freezer and a countertop ice maker. In this climate and with the humidity and the bugs,we have to refrigerate things like flour and pasta and rice, etc. The refrigerators don’t have freezers or ice makers. The ice maker was an inspiration,I must say.

eventually I’d like to get an upright freezer to stock on sale items.

They must use a lot of expensive electricity.

You do have a plethora of refrigerators. Especially for two people. As Christina said, your electric bill must be high.

That is a lot of refrigerators. I have trouble keeping one stocked. It’s thoughtful to have a small fridge in the guest room though.
