Jocelyn’s party

So often, the family sees each other only at funerals. My cousin, Jocelyn, felt that it was time for us to get together at a happier time, so she hosted a lovely party for all of us in Hawaii Kai.  As usual, David took video of everyone, while I used my digital camera for photos.

It was such a great idea for Jocelyn to host a party for all of us when we weren’t grieving for a deceased loved one. Wonderful, Jocelyn!  David and I love you and your family dearly.  Thanks for inviting us.

Celebrating and getting together “just because” was a great plan. Everyone looked so relaxed and happy because there was no reason not to be…Jocelyn had a great plan.

Nice to have a lovely party to attend and visit with friends and family. Is it raining there? Looks like David got soaked on the way in.

I say why wait for a funeral to connect with love with those we hold dearly????? It has been hotter than a pepper plant here in this part of Washington state and Oregon too..We went to the Oregon coast and it was hot, we left for home, we went to the Washington coast to the cabin with childhood friends and it was wonderful..Fish and goodies from the sea and talking and playing games until the wee hours of the night..The motor homes are like luxury homes, but we opt to stay in the cabin with my friend who lost her hubs a few years back and read and laugh and joke and sip tea until at least 2 am and sleep in..Everyone takes off in their motor homes and we are left just my hubs me and my friend from kindergarten..we feel truly blessed, sometimes we take our two kitty cats, but most times a friend stays in our tiny home and makes sure they are well taken care of I bring back crab (on ice and shrimp fresh from the sea for her and also tea she is an avid tea drinker like me and my family) Enjoy your friends and family time is short enough and the heat here is something else, one week it is nice for 1 day the next 4 days in the 100’s and humidity and no a/c just fans and we flee to the library or the Washington coast..we cannot stand the heat in the 100’s aloha and peace out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
