Korean Festival 2016

Last Saturday, David and I drove to Honolulu Hale and parked in the municipal parking structure. The event we wanted to see was the Korean Festival.

That’s David on the right side of the photo, walking with his cane:

After 30 minutes of walking, my hubby complained about his hips locking and hurting, so we headed back to our car and drove to Romano’s for an Italian lunch and air conditioned comfort. Too bad we could not sample Korean food at the festival, but it was too difficult for us.

You have my sympathy. I simply do not walk much any more.

My hips hurt from uneven walking on uneven leg lengths. I am convinced it never gets better you just learn to live with it. Kudos to David.

It looks like it was a very fun day. I think David is doing pretty well, given how recently he had that knee replaced. 🙂

  4. Christine Says:

Looks like a fun festival and brought everyone out!

  5. Olga Says:

Sounds as though you had a quick tour of the festival and a good excuse to go out for lunch. You have reminded me to ot take mobility for granted.

I wish I could have spoken with those vets from the Korean War. My mother’s first husband died in that war. I grew up seeing his Purple Heart, very sad.
You know, if David walked for 30 minutes, that is very good. Keep up the good work, David!

I wish the Korean festival was this summer when my granddaughter was here. By the way, it was great seeing David a few months ago!
