Maria and Lisa: Then and now

Taking a trip down memory lane, I recall my daughters, Maria and Lisa, having a very loving relationship when they were little.  Maria was very protective of her younger sister, who was 4 years younger.

Then, as they approached puberty and adolescence, there was sibling rivalry, which was quite unpleasant.

Now, both daughters are in their thirties, and they are best friends who get along well with each other.

Maria is a high school math teacher in Hawaii, and Lisa is a physical therapist in Nevada.  Both are self-supporting and financially independent.

Very good kids.  I am pleased with their progress.

This is the last photo I have of the three of us.  May 2016 at 53 By the Sea, with me on the right:

That last photo is wonderful. I would crop it down to heads and shoulders of the three of you, and frame it.

How nice, how wonderful, your 2 beautiful daughters who are now friends. My mother-in-law used to tell me that if the children fight when they are young, they do become close when they are older. I think that is true. As they grow up, they realize each other’s value and appreciate having each other.
