Check your troubles and guns at the door

I saw this sign at a Mexican restaurant.

If only we could do this on a daily basis:  Leave our problems behind and greet each new day with vim and vigor.  Why sour our lives with negative thinking?

I bought a 2017 calendar yesterday and wrote in the times when we will be attending the symphony and opera next year.  We expect to listen to great music at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.

We are already looking forward to our birthday celebrations in January and March.  I would like to have breakfast in Waikiki, perhaps at the Surf Lanai in the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.  David wants to have lunch at the Hau Tree Lanai in the Kaimana Hotel.  Both restaurants are located right on the beach with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean.

Life can’t get any better than this.  We are so fortunate to live in Hawaii.

These are my kids, Maria and Lisa, at the beach when they were little:

Cute photo! Guns are a reality in the US, I just read this store is asking customers not to bring guns into the store after a customer’s gun accidentally went off.

We live in a county where many people are hungry and homeless..We do what we can and for guns yes their is big hunting going on in the county and the county next to us..Peace is wanted and love in our universe..why can’t humans get it? The new president doesn’t in my opinion, what a sad time in our mainland and Hawaii too for electing this narcissistic business tycoon, who thinks it is still the wild wild west all over the USA..Your sweet sweet children have grown up peace and loving human beings, be very proud of that fact and the fact you and your hubs are peace and loving human beings, aloha in paradise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the sign! Great philosophy for life.

Hawaii certainly provides some beautiful settings for dining out. Sounds like you have some wonderful plans for the new year 🙂

Beautiful little girls. I never did too well at the beach with my fair skin: sunburn and now one episode after another with skin cancer. My daughter does better as does my oldest son who have skin like their dad’s. Youngest is like me with freckly pale skin.
