If you don’t love it, let it go

This is David, vacuuming our family room.

After reading the comments on my previous blog post, we decided to get rid of the Indonesian painting that gave me weird vibes (the second painting in this photo).  We are donating it to a thrift shop.

What motivated us to do this was Honolulu Aunty’s comment:  “Keep things that spark joy.”  Also, Olga’s comment:  “If you don’t love it, let it go.”

Amen.  So be it.

Today, David and I will go to an art store to see if there is a painting that would be a suitable replacement.

It’s fun fixing up our home.  One of the joys of home ownership.

David, for one, is a definite keeper, especially with that vacuum cleaner!

I love that philosophy, it works with clothing too!
