Relax and avoid stress

Flowers at Home Depot (December 2017).

While President Trump is spending the holidays in Florida, former President Obama is vacationing in Lanikai here in Hawaii.  Obama has been spotted paddle boarding in the ocean, golfing in Kaneohe, and visiting with Christmas carolers outside his vacation home.  Awesome!  I am so pleased that he is having such a good life after leaving the White House.

I try to relax and avoid stress by not socializing with people I dislike.  I am still married to David and still own my house.  I am not deaf and appreciate classical music.

Today, David and I will use the CPK gift card that Maria gave us for Christmas.  It will be nice to eat CPK pizza for a change.

So many things to be grateful for.

So good to be able to relax in retirement. I will be under a quilt next to a fireplace all day. It is brutal cold here with wind chill temps of -20 degrees. I am kicking myself for not going to FL already.

Lovely flowers — Merry Christmas! Glad you and David having delightful holidays — also, Obama’s are, too, on the island. Am receiving surprise visit from my Dtr who lives in VA later today.

I have loved seeing pictures of the Obama family enjoying their holiday in your lovely state. You have the perfect place for a nice holiday away from the stress of life over here on the mainland. Life here is pretty crazy. I try not to read the news or watch TV that features that current president. It only makes my life more stressed. Enjoy your lovely, quiet life.

I agree, avoid stress by not socializing with people you don’t like … and not doing things you don’t want to do!

The flowers look gorgeous! Nice to hear it’s warm somewhere it is freezing in Toronto.

Hi Gigi, I can’t tell you what a lift it gives me to see flowers at Home Depot. We were there recently and all they had were snow shovels and salt in the garden area! Wishing you a wonderful new year!

Just had to stop by from Christine’s blog …
    Those flowers look so nice.

    All the best Jan
