Lisa’s travels

Rylan, Lisa, Julia, and David at Hot Pot Heaven in Pearl Kai, Hawaii (January 2018).

Lisa is currently in Alberta, Canada, hiking in a national park.  She asked David where his mother had lived.  David replied that Bessie grew up on a farm outside Calgary.  David’s father grew up in New Brunswick and met Bessie in Calgary when they were working at a business school.  They got married and immigrated legally to the USA.  He was the director of a business school here in Hawaii for many years.  Both became American citizens.  David, Michael, and Wanda were born in the USA.  David’s parents and sister are now buried in a cemetery in Hawaii.  Michael currently resides in Massachusetts.

Lisa said she intends to take a few days off every month to travel.  Last month, she spent four days in Denver, Colorado, having fun with Maria and her family.  This month, Lisa is in Canada.  Next month, who knows where she will be.

Lisa is down right amazing! She got her doctorate in physical therapy and has a great career going. She bought a house and has now purchased a top of the line Lexus. Keep up the amazing work. Your mother and I are so proud of you!

  2. Christine Says:

How wonderful that Lisa wants to travel, much like her mom!

  3. DJan Says:

When I was younger, I loved to travel. I’m glad Lisa is doing her traveling now. It expands your horizons so much. 🙂

I think we can guess where the travel gene came from, Gigi. It’s so great that she has such a good education and a good job that gives her the freedom and the means to both do good in the world and travel. I am sure you are very proud of the family you raised and you certainly should be.

  5. Joanne Noragon Says:

That travel gene is amazing. My sixteen year old grandson is bicycling this summer from Bar Harbor, Maine back to Ohio, via NY and PA. Yay for youth.
