Olivia and a brand new dryer

Tropical storm Olivia did not make much of a dent in our plans for Wednesday.  Despite the wind and rain, it wasn’t that bad:

We were able to have a brand new dryer installed in our patio.  It’s a GE (on the left):

The old dryer, which was purchased in 2001, was hauled away first.  So, Olivia did not prevent the delivery and installation of our new dryer, at all.  We are all good.

P.S.  Around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, there was a deluge of rain because of tropical storm Olivia.  The ground is saturated.  Fortunately, our house is not flooded so far.  We will assess the situation on Thursday.

Our house is fine. We have never had any flooding problems. We picked the right house. I do feel for the families in the Carolinas. Apparently many, many of them will experience loss of property.

Glad to learn that Olivia didn’t do much damage to Hawaii. I wish it would be the same for Florence, but it’s much larger. 😦

It appears you have the same new dryer as ours. I love it as it replaced a 22 year old machine that didn’t like heavy loads any more.

Lovely catching up with you and your doings. Great reunion and your old dryer owed you nothing. Love your print. Art is so subjective isn’t it? I recently got a lovely painting that amuses me every time I look at it. Must post.

Glad you’re staying dry. Had waters creep into my family room when we had a “100 year flood” they said in Arizona. Was clean and no damage but surely can be scary and it rises fast — I was pregnant, standing in the room, powerless to keep it out even putting down towels at patio door. Ironically, after we moved to Calif., within a few years they had two more of those famous floods and former neighbors had mud slides, too. Water couldn’t be absorbed and rushed down Phoenix/Scottsdale’s Camelback Mtn.

Isn’t it amazing how life goes on. You were prepared for the worst but fortunately it did not happen.
