David is color blind

We previously had a poinsettia on the coffee table, but it began shedding leaves on the table.  Finally, I threw it away.  We drove to Home Depot on Monday and purchased this anthurium.  Note the new bud that is about to open.  The red and green colors make me smile.  And I love the cobalt blue ceramic planter.  You all know how much I love a colorful home.

I also like the colorful muumuus in my closet:

I feel sorry for David, who is color blind.  He cannot see red and green the way people with normal vision can.  When he sees two football teams, dressed in red and green uniforms on the field, he cannot tell the difference between the two teams.  What a pity.

    Love the blue planter.

That is not quite true. There was one game where the uniforms were hard to distinguish but that was the only time. When you say that I am color blind I am reminded of Miss America, Angela Barracio who was the first Asian Miss America. She stated that all of the people in Hawaii are color blind meaning that they are not prejudiced like so much of the white people in this country. This is what I thought you meant when you say I am color blind. I certainly am.

They have special glasses that can allow David to see in colour I understand.

I like David’s description of color blind human beings. It’s a fairly common condition, especially in men, not to see differences in red and green.

I second that lovely pot comment. I do love your closet 🙂

EnChroma makes glasses for the colorblind. You should watch the reactions on YouTube of the people who see color for the first time with EnChroma glasses. And from I understand, the glasses aren’t super expensive but it’s not covered under insurance. The reaction videos on YouTube always makes me cry!

I also love that blue color of the planter. My Richard is color blind also, it is really the greens and browns he has trouble with, I think. I like David’s definition of color blind!

I like your plant and blue pot. That’s a good holiday plant instead of poinsettia. Maybe that’s what I’ll,get.
