The Willows is closing (Dec. 31, 2018)

The Willows is closing on December 31, 2018, because the owner wants to sell the property and other parcels of land to a developer.  Sad, isn’t it?  David and I celebrated many special occasions at that restaurant, and we will miss its open air ambience and delicious buffet.

This is David entering The Willows.  Note the beautiful foliage along the walkway (December 2017):

We celebrated the marriage of our niece, Amanda, to a South Korean man, Ju Hwan (October 2016):

We celebrated Christmas with our sister-in-law, Pat, and her family (December 2014):

We celebrated our daughter Lisa’s graduation from the University of Hawaii (June 2012):

We have many fond memories of The Willows.  Aloha and mahalo!

That is so sad. Many of our favorite restaurants do not last forever. As these close we try to find new and exciting restaurants to take their place.

Oh, my goodness, you certainly do have a wealth of memories associated with that restaurant. The forces of change are hard to control though. Have fun researching a fun place where you can build future memories.
