Best wishes to Julia and Kevin

My 11 year old granddaughter Julia’s soccer team (Whitfield SC) beat the Spirit of Liverpool in the first round of the national soccer tournament in Dallas, Texas yesterday. The final score was 5-0 with Julia scoring 2 points. They will soon face another team.

On another note, I am so sorry that Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors ruptured his Achilles tendon during Game 5 of the NBA Finals. He underwent surgery in New York and is convalescing. I hope that he has a speedy recovery.

Good luck to Julia and Kevin Durant.  Wishing them all the best for a successful outcome.  I hope Julia’s team brings home the trophy, and I hope Kevin Durant can play in the NBA for many years to come.

Wow. I just read that Klay Thompson of the warriors has suffered a torn ACL we should also wish him a speedy recovery.
On a positive note, the Toronto raptors are the NBA champions! The first NBA game was played in Toronto in 1946. James Naismith from Canada was the inventor of basketball! What can we say but O CANADA!!

Our granddaughters are doing us proud today Gigi. And I am so thrilled the Raptors won. A long time coming. Toronto went wild but in a good way as us Canadians are so polite *grin*.
