Googling Brahms and Bezos

I don’t read books anymore. But, I do love to google for information on the computer. Google is my favorite type of library. I can find information any time just by typing a name or word on the internet.

I am fond of googling classical music composers. For instance, Johannes Brahms, who lived during the 1800s in Germany and Austria. I was surprised that Brahms died of liver cancer at age 63. His father died of the same disease, too. Johannes Brahms composed some of the best music I have ever heard in my life. I love his two piano concertos, violin concerto and four symphonies.

This is Johannes Brahms before he grew that bushy beard.  Handsome dude (photo from the internet):

David, on the other hand, likes to google rich people, always wanting to know what their net worth is.  For him, seeing dollar signs is the epitome of fun. How he wishes he could be as wealthy as Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world. Well, Bezos might be rich, but he cheated on his wife, thereby destroying his marriage and breaking up his family.

It will be hell if I go blind and can no longer read the computer. But, I could always learn Braille and get my information that way.

Well there are computer programs that are voice activated. I use Siri all day long to provide voice answers to my voice activated questions. You should check it out!

I cannot imagine not reading books. I must read a couple every week. But if I went blind, I’d turn to books on tape. 🙂

The important thing is to keep learning. My friend googles all the time. If we are watching a tv movie, he is googling all the actors and telling me their life stories. I really don’t care about the actors as anything other than the characters they are playing at the time, but we all have our own thing — you with composers and David with $$.

I couldn’t give up books, I don’t have TV so I’m like you I get my newsfeeds off the internet and also Netflix. I do google old lovers and friends tho. Sometimes google can be a bottomless pit.

I read books, mostly fiction and occasionally history. But like you, I google everything!

My son googles everything I tell him. He is my biggest skeptic.
