My RHS 55th class reunion – 2019

David and I attended my Roosevelt High School 55th class reunion at KCC Culinary Arts Institute on Sunday. There were 200 people who attended, including guests of the alumni. About 10 people came from out of state to join us.

David and I posed at the entrance to the dining room. My sweater was unnecessary, because the air conditioning did not work and it was hot. The red and gold lei was handmade by an alumna, named Vivian. Red and gold are our school colors:

These alumni manned the reception desk: Sheila, Sandy, Vicky, and Naomi:

Roosevelt High School football stars (Warner and Reid, both living on the mainland) and David:

Georgina (who lives on the mainland), David, and Laurie (our senior class president):

Inez on the left (I didn’t catch the name of the woman on the right):

Alison (she lives on the mainland and was page 3 editor of the school newspaper, The Rough Rider):

The table setting (the chopsticks were handmade and are reusable):

The food, consisting mostly of Japanese cuisine:

My plate plus the parfait on the right:

The door prizes (I didn’t win):

A good time was had by all. We are looking forward to our 60th class reunion in five years.

How amazing Gigi the 55th!! I made my 50th but my BFF died 3 years later and I have no interest in attending anymore after that.

The food looks amazing, so great for you to catch up.
