We were in the mood for seafood recently. Here we are, raising our glass of chilled apple juice. “To your peace and joy, my dear!”:
Isn’t this fresh rose pretty?
We started with clam chowder. The clams were tender and juicy:
Our main entrée consisted of baked salmon, wild rice, and steamed veggies. I did a good job with the salmon. It was seasoned with salt and pepper, layered with mayonnaise and panko bread crumbs, and baked perfectly in the oven:
For dessert, we had chocolate dobash cake, which was chilled, refreshing and not too sweet:
Looking at these pictures, I can see the calories. But, occasionally, we do like to indulge in such rich food.
Here I am after the meal:
And this is David, grinning:

That was great. Another fine meal in quarantine. We cannot go out to elegant dinners, so why not have one at home. A wonderful meal with a wonderful woman! What a treat!

I can understand why you both look so happy after the meal, it must have been delicious. It always looks so beautifully served, too, well done. I just had yogurt and rhubarb for my lunch, not quite so elegant and tasty, but perhaps less calories. Sometimes I am laz and don’t want to cook just for me. Valerie

We can see from the look on David’s face that the meal was a great success! I’ll bet that salmon was perfection. I can almost taste it.

I am not in the slightest bit surprised that both of you are smiling broadly.
A delicious meal in perfect company will do that.

Sadly seafood is…. not exactly my thing. Nor sweet stuff, I might´ve starved 😉
