Petunias for our patio

We shopped at Home Depot again. This time, we bought three pots of petunias for our patio.

These are nice looking, as there are various colors in each pot.

Let’s see how long these petunias last.

A month or so ago, we bought three pots of New Guinea Impatiens. They wilted on the white bench, because the sunlight was too intense. I moved them to a shady spot along the fence, and they are doing much better:

I find that flowers in general are thirsty plants. Daily watering is good for them.

Petunias are one plant that usually do well for us, at least in some beds some of the time.

    So pretty!

Our soil is not real good for flowers, bushes and trees do well, but not flowers, so I have been buying pots of flowers and moving them around the yards. Yes, pots must be watered daily in our hot climate.

You are so very right about plants in pots being thirsty. And fussy about the amount of light they receive. Your petunias look lovely.

Petunias are my new favorite flower: easy to grow and long lasting, if they get enough water and nutrients. šŸ™‚

Oh yes, indeed! You must water plants in pots. Our summers in Georgia requires a lot of water! Lovely flowers. xx

  17. Nancy Chan Says:

Our weather is not suitable for petunias. I had a few pots but after a while, they all died.

Beautiful! Still too cold for flowers here, so… even nicer to see yours!
