Bon Appetit around the world

As you know, I love to entertain. By that I mean inviting people I like to my home for lunch. Sometimes, it’s potluck. Sometimes, I prepare the entire meal, myself.

I love to set the table, bringing out the white tablecloth and choosing colorful napkins to match the flowers on the table. As for the flowers, I prefer carnations, as they last longer. I bring out my fine china with gold rims, my silverware, and, finally, my stemware.

Then, I cook the food (usually shrimp or chicken, a starch, a salad, and a roll) and set it on my buffet table. Chow time! We all grab a plate, serve ourselves, settle in our seats, and dig in. Then, dessert is served (usually a fruit Jello, served in cute trifle dishes). This meal prep is such a breeze! No stress at all.

What a joy to converse with congenial, compatible people!

Why do I entertain? Because it’s fun, and I like having fun.

Here are photos of people around the world having a great time over a delicious meal.

This was colorful & fun, but I’d be interested to see how people dine together at a nudist colony. ;^)

It’s always nicer to enjoy an at home meal when sharing with family and friends, which you certainly do and often.

It’s lovely that you get so much enjoyment from entertaining, and that also shows in the care you take when setting your table, and the smiles on the faces of your family. It all looks beautiful! Thank you for sharing the different meals from other countries too, very interesting.

Oh, our place is so small. Ingo´s parents OR my family it is.
Sad, as now I can cook and bake…
Thank you for sharing your fun!
