Yesterday, David and I lunched at Camellia Buffet Yakiniku on McCully Street. This Camellia has a buffet that is larger and more varied than the branch on Beretania Street. Yes, there are the usual beef kalbi, rib-eye, chicken, and pork. But there are also more soups, starches, kimchi, and vegetables. As always, we barbecued the raw meats on the gas grill in the center of the table. For dessert, we had jello and fresh fruit.
It was ono and fun and well worth the $11.95 per person minus 10% discount we paid. With tax and tip, the total came to $25.52. (The price for dinner is higher, however.) Our only gripe is that it was hard to get into and out of the booth because of the way the table legs were situated. And, of course, we reeked of Korean barbecue when we left. Otherwise, we had a great time. — gigi

Mmm, that looks good. Personally, we go to the Beretania branch, but that’s just us. Either way, I’m getting hungry.
