Hong Kong: Avenue of Stars, Serenade Restaurant

To cross the street, pedestrians have to walk under the street by entering the subway.

This is the Avenue of (Chinese movie) Stars.

David tries out Jet Li’s handprints.

I try out Michelle Yeoh’s handprints. Yes, it was windy today.

Bruce Lee.

David wishes he could act.

Chinese students practice their English by interviewing David.

And, yes, there is a McDonald’s and Pizza Hut, too.

Serenade Restaurant.

We dined on dim sum — chicken, shrimp, and squid. Delightful!

At 2 pm, we will tour Hong Kong island. I’ll post pics tonight.

Oh, and if the keypad bugs you, just get a mouse.

I do have a mouse (cordless). My hands don’t brush against the arrows so I don’t know what is causing the netbook to skip lines and go backwards.

    Dim Sum. Yum.

And just the typing — the motion of your hands over the mouse pad — seems to be enough to set it off. Mine does it, too unless I remember to keep my hands high.

I was very interested in the “subway” sign.
I wonder what the character on the left means. The one on the right is “road” (although it’s slightly different from how it’s written in Japan).
But that character on the left isn’t used in Japanese.

But “subway” in Japanese is completely different.
It’s 「地下鉄」 here…which would translate literally to “Underground Iron”

Wow, it looks like your Hong Kong trip is going great! Love the pictures, feels just like I’m there, without all the travel.
