Michael Buble

I am so in love with Michael Buble’s voice that I ordered three of his CDs from Amazon and received them a couple of days ago.  I have been listening to them over and over again.  The three I bought include his most recent “Call Me Irresponsible,” his “It’s Time,” and a self-titled “Michael Buble.”  They all are excellent!

If you are unfamiliar with Buble, just go to Amazon.com, click on “Music,” type his name, and then click on “Listen” to hear samples from his CDs.  You will end up buying them.

I like the songs he chose.  There are jazzy renditions of old standards, made popular by Frank Sinatra, as well as more contemporary pieces.  Sometimes, he is accompanied by a big band; at other times, just a piano or guitar.  He sings with perfect rhythm and perfect intonation.  And his voice is so pleasant it makes me want to meet him in person.  With a voice like that, he must be a really nice guy!

You are so right. Michael is a very nice guy. After selling 18 million albums, he is just as down to earth as ever. Your next purchase should be Michael’s DVD “Come Fly With Me” which is a compilation off his first three tours around the world with many quips from Michael which gives you a little of his family life and the fun he has with his band, “his road warriors”
as he likes to call them. Next is the DVD “Caught in the Act” which is somewhat a replica of his last tour performances and his “PBS special.” You will see the majority of his whole 90 minutes show from his “Its Time ” album. You’ll get to see some of his humor, as well. You can get a special copy, producd and purchased throught Target.com that includes a 30 minute DVD called “The Making of Call Me Irresponsible.” Few artists put into the making of an album, all that Michael does. When speaking of girlfriend, Emily Blunt, (Devil Wear’s Prada) he has quipped that the difference in their age is that Emily is 25 going on 50 and he is 32 going on 4. In the Making of CMI, you get to see him acting with the responsiility of a 32 yr old as well as the playfulness of a 4 yr old. The reason I suggest purchasing his DVDs, is this man needs to be seen live to be appreciated for the man he is. Michael is so much more than a beautiful voice. Since our founder and president, Rossi, who lives in Queensland, Australia has been battling brain cancer this past year, I, as the vice-president, who lives in Lenexa, Kansas, right outside Kansas City, Missouri, have been monitoring our message board, writing our newsletters and communicating with our membership. Next to Michael’s official fan club, Bungalow-B, I believe we are te second largest fan club. We have between 700 and 800 members all over the world, so give us a look. We are planning some changes on our website, ever trying to keep it very personal and fun. f you like what you see, you will find our invitation to join us on the website. I have friends all over the world, thanks to Michael, and I will leave you with my favorite saiying,” I have never met a Michael Buble’ fan that I didn’t like.” As Michael’s fans, we are all great people. In the meantime, if you have questions about Michael or our club, feel free to E-Mail me at anytime.l

The only reason why he is getting such a lot of praise and approval from others is because he is “taking a route” in the direction where the majority is not.

All he is doing is singing old songs, and not even better, just “again”. He does not seem to be singing the songs better either, and just mimicking the styles of mainly Sinatra and Dean Martin. I guess it is because people today want to listen to somebody who is still “alive” and young, not old and dead.

I can probably bet that if Bublé was born in the time when all the real crooners were still alive and young, he would not make it even as far as say… Dick Haymes, Mel Torme or Perry Como. Heck, his voice probably is not even as good as these three. Yet, people are comparing him to Sinatra, Nat Cole and Dean Martin~? Ridiculous~!

Of course if you compare a thirty year old Bublé’s voice to a fifty five year old Sinatra voice, Bublé would probably sound “clearer”. But if you compare a thirty something year Sinatra to a thirty something year Bublé, then you can just hear how much worse Bublé is.

Sure, it is great to see people interested in caring on these styles that are not done as frequently as now. But if all you are going to do is re-sing old pop standards in ways which are inferior to practically every version of a particular song, may it be Sinatra’s, Dean’s, Como’s, Hayme’s or Torme’s or whatever other artist there was, then you might as well stop, because who would want to listen to a version of a song a lot more inferior than a lot of other’s~?

And as others have already stated, even his original songs suck: so does the musical arrangements that go with them. That is what I think about Bublé. And please, do not even compare Bublé with Sinatra again, because he really is not up there.
