I hosted lunch last week for my sisters, Sylvia and Nedra. It was nice to see them again.
I have a third sister, Lucille, who lives in Virginia. I haven’t seen her since 2016. But we do keep in touch by phone.
My brother died in 2003 after a long illness.
I am the oldest of the 4 remaining siblings.

Menu: Jasmine Rice, Sweet Sour Shrimp, Romaine Salad with Ranch and Italian Dressing, Lychees and Oranges, and Butter Flaked Crescent Rolls. Plus a Cheese Ball and Basil Pesto dish that Sylvia brought. Dessert was Macadamia Nut Ice Cream:

We all had a good time, and they stayed for 3+ hours. We sisters have a terrific sense of humor and can weave a story like nobody else can. It was so interesting to converse about the family and how well everyone is doing. No bad news to share, at all. We ended the party on a happy note.

You’re very lucky, you’ve got a big and beautiful family. I don’t speak to my sister and mom from 9 months. Everything finished with my Dad’s death. So take care of Love.

Gigi, you always set a nice table. I’m very glad your sisters were able to make it and you had a nice visit. I’ve got three sisters of my own, but they all live in different states and I wonder sometimes if I’ll ever see them all again.

I’m so glad you were finally able to reschedule this. It looks lovely (and tasty, too!) and I love those yellow flowers with the white tablecloth. They look like spring!

I wish I had such a wonderful gathering when we all got together for Thanksgiving last year. I still have a sad recollection when I think of it. Alcohol does bad things to people.
