Gratitude leads to a buoyant spirit

Today, I thought I’d post recent photos of plants I dearly love.  They all were purchased from Home Depot.

I water the pink Impatiens on my patio table every morning.  David waters those three potted palms in the background every other day:

I water the anthurium on my coffee table twice a week.  The plant seems to flourish indoors, but I don’t know where I’ll put it when it grows too big for the coffee table.  Planting it outside would kill it, since it requires indirect light in the shade.  On the floor is my beautiful hand woven silk rug from Kashmir, India:

Life is great, isn’t it?  If you don’t agree, don’t bother to explain why.  Simply dig a hole and bury those miserable thoughts.  Focus on what you are going to do today and tomorrow.

I no longer think in terms of being happy or being unhappy.  Instead, I think of how grateful I am for what I already have.  Gratitude leads to a buoyant spirit.

Today is Super Bowl Sunday.  David is rooting for the Denver Broncos.  As for me, I like both Pete Carroll (coach of the Seattle Seahawks) and Peyton Manning (quarterback of the Denver Broncos), so it doesn’t matter to me which team wins.
