Getting ready for my in-laws

Tonight, we will see David’s brother, his wife, and his two daughters at our home for dinner.  They always come at this time of year for their two week vacation in Hawaii, traveling from their home outside Boston, where they have lived for zillions of years.

My hapa-haole nieces have divergent interests.  Amanda recently graduated from a well-known school for the performing arts and is presently trying to advance her dancing career.  Victoria is majoring in mechanical engineering.

I’ll remember to take photos of everyone tonight.  We will also celebrate Maria’s belated 31st birthday.  And, of course, little Julia will be here.  It’s always a joy to see my cute granddaughter.

P.S.  I am so proud of myself.  I administered REVOLUTION to Kitty without David’s help yesterday.  This is how I did it:  First, I grabbed Kittty by the scruff of his neck with my left hand, and then I squeezed the small vial of fluid on the back of his neck with my right hand.  He did not struggle.  It was all over in a few seconds.  Previously, it took two people to perform this simple task, one to hold him down and the other to administer the Revolution.  Now, all it takes is one person.  Whee!  What an accomplishment.  You go, Gigi!  (Revolution protects against fleas, heartworm disease, hookworms, roundworms, and ear mites.)

I see that Maria is the same age as my son, Jon. Happy Birthday, Maria.

Congratulations on the Revolution. I’m glad you were able to do it safely without getting scratched or bit.
