Prelude to a doctor’s appointment

As you know, I have been experiencing intermittent pain in my left arm as well as tingling and numbness in my left hand.  My daughter, Lisa, who is a physical therapist, told me that it might be a heart attack waiting to happen (not bursitis).  Well, that is good news.  Ha.  I will be seeing my internist today.  Let’s see what she says.

Meanwhile, I wanted to share some photos that make me very happy.

These are oil paintings that I purchased this year.

Click on the photos to enlarge them.

“Oranges” by my friend, Flo Miyahira, who used a brush:

“Golden Gate Bridge” by my friend, Suzanne McCrary, who used a palette knife:

Two different techniques, resulting in two gorgeous works of art!  They hang together in my living room, above family photos:

On Sunday, David and I attended a Korean American Club banquet at the Prince Court Restaurant.  We gathered to honor four college students, who each received a scholarship from our club.  The buffet at this restaurant was excellent.

It was nice to chat with other club members:

And the view of Ala Wai Harbor in front of the restaurant was very pleasant also:

I enjoy my life style here in Hawaii.  Loving family, wonderful friends, delicious food, beautiful art.  What more could I possibly want?

I’m sure your doctor will sort it all out; it’s what they do. My left shoulder aches often, too. Never when I’m seeing a doctor.

  2. Gwen Says:

Hopefully, it’s carpel tunnel. but yes, I expressed concern here too that it might be your heart. I hope Lisa and I are wrong, but at least you can rule something out now, hopefully. Best of luck and prayers coming your way.

I’m glad you are seeing a doctor today. You’ll know soon and can hopefully lay this latest medical issue to rest. Love your paintings. 🙂

    Yes Hawaii is beautiful.

I mentioned the possibility of a heart attack. I’ve had one and it’s not what most people think. I thought it was heartburn. The cardiologist said otherwise.

David spoke with his bone guy, and is going to have his troublesome knee replaced this fall.

Beautiful artwork! Gosh Gigi, I hope it’s not your heart, keep us posted!

Wise to see a doctor Gigi. She can at least put your mind at ease and prescribe treatment to correct whatever it might be. Your art is lovely. I have a few pieces that give me the same feeling. You have a loving family. Thank you for catching my mistake with the month. I have no idea why I put January instead of June, and I read it through a dozen times without detecting it so appreciate very much your pointing it out.

I do hope the appointment went well.

Do you have problems with the top of your spine area (cervical spine) at all Gigi? Cervical stenosis (narrowing of the spine) often causes pain numbness and tingling in the arms and hands. Hopefully your doctor is able to find the cause of your discomfort
You certainly are gathering quite a collection of art with these new acquisitions.

I especially like those oranges and good luck with the heart testing. I’m glad you’re getting that looked into.
